Bring it on Ike...
So when Hurricane Gustav was headed towards the gulf, some people thought it might hit Texas so I asked a co-worker, who is about 65 and has lived in Dallas his whole life, if there has ever been a Hurricane or Tropical storm to hit the DFW area? He looked at me and said "Are you nuts? Never. We're too far inland for that." Looks like Dallas might get a little wet.

I think the 65 year old is a little misguided. Ask him about Ike? Or...ask him about the hurricane that hit Galveston Sept. 8th, 1900. It killed 6,000-8,000 people.
